Dr. Syed Ismail Shah, ITU Area Representative for South East Asia & Timor-Leste will present the “E-Agriculture Strategy Guide” jointly developed by FAO and ITU.
E-Agriculture includes the use of all forms of Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) with focus on Agriculture to derive economic growth through poverty reduction and enhanced productivity. E-Agriculture Involves designing, developing and applying innovative ways to use ICTs for improving access to valuable information that can help farmers and other stakeholders to make the most effective and appropriate decisions.
Some of the case studies will be presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of E-Agriculture.
