In Jakarta, 2-4 December 2014, Hotel Novotel Mangga Dua Workshop purpose: To provide training to scientists and technical advisors working with the oil palm industry in how to operate the APSIM Oil Palm Model, which is designed to simulate crop production, water balance, soil organic matter and greenhouse gas emissions. This training course will provide: An introduction to the APSIM model user interface including entry of model input, graphing of model output, and construction of simulation analyses. An overview of the key soil processes modelled within APSIM. A description of the APSIM Oil Palm model. A step‐by‐step guide to running the model and interpreting the output.
