Oil palm agro-ecological transformation: Towards climate- and nature-positive agriculture

The ICOPE 2025 conference programme has been being fine-tuned (last updated 10 January 2025). The conference is set to bring together experts and stakeholders to explore vital issues in sustainable agriculture. The event will begin on Day 1 with sessions focused on climate change, industry commitments to climate and nature-positive agriculture, and the importance of education in advancing sustainability. Day 2 will dive into key topics such as biodiversity in oil palm plantations, ecosystem restoration, pollination services, agroforestry, intercropping, and soil health, offering innovative solutions for more resilient agricultural practices. On the Day 3, discussions will spotlight new technologies, climate change adaptation through oil palm genetic diversity, and effective strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME). The conference will conclude with a panel discussion and closing remarks, aiming to inspire actionable change in the agricultural sector.
